Let’s be honest, dips and Sunday football are BFFs. You can’t have one without the other. The problem with that is most dips have loads of sodium and cheese and carbs and more cheese. So you work all week to eat healthy, you have some drinks on Friday, brunch on Saturday and then what..? Stuff your face with addicting cheese dips? Do you want to feel like a pile of bricks on Monday? This week direct your mindless munching to a healthier option. Here is a one of my favorite (and easy to make) dip options but there are tons on pinterest if you don’t like beets.
Beet Dip: by Kayla Itsines
This dip is delicious served with warmed up wholemeal pita slices. The greek yoghurt helps to cut through the sweetness of the beets and really makes this dip a knockout!
450g beets, roasted
½ cup walnuts, chopped
2 tbs greek yoghurt
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbs dill, chopped
Salt & pepper
- Process all ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
- Top with a small drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
